Visit to the UN in Geneva: an unforgettable experience for our young people

This week, we organized a special visit to the United Nations (UN) in Geneva, Switzerland, with our young participants enrolled in the European exchange program. The purpose of this educational outing was to help participants gain a better understanding of the role of international institutions, the challenges of cooperation between states, and the importance of dialogue for peace and sustainable development. Upon arriving at the Palais des Nations, our young people were impressed by the scale of the site and its history. Accompanied by a guide, they explored the various iconic rooms, including the Human Rights Room and the Assembly Hall, where major international conferences are regularly held. During the visit, they learned how the UN operates, its main missions (peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, human rights protection, sustainable development), and how member states collaborate to address major global challenges. A discussion session also allowed the young participants to ask questions and share their thoughts on topics such as peace, the environment, inequality, and living together. These exchanges were particularly enriching and sparked a lot of interest and curiosity. This visit to the UN in Geneva will remain a highlight of our European exchange program. It strengthened our young participants’ motivation to engage more actively in civic life and to open themselves to international realities. We warmly thank the UN team for their welcome, as well as all the mentors and partners who contributed to the success of this day. Stay connected to discover our upcoming activities!
